What has been corrected on Put it up?
Nothing so far. No published figure, source or answer on Put it up has been corrected. When one is, it is listed here with the date, the page, what changed and why.
What goes in the corrections log?
Every change to a published figure, source, answer or product line goes in the log, newest first. That includes:
- our own mistakes, such as a figure that does not match the maker's page or a condition we missed;
- a maker changing its own figure, conditions or instructions after the date we checked them;
- a source we stop using, for example because the maker's page has gone, and what replaced it;
- a product line or link that no longer matched the model its maker describes.
Changes that do not alter what a page tells you, such as clearer wording or a new page, are not listed.
What happens when a source is due a re-check?
When a source is due a re-check, we read it again before the site can be updated: a source past its re-check date stops the site being rebuilt. If the source still says the same, the new check date appears on the Sources page. If it says something different, the page changes and the change is listed here.
How do I report a mistake?
Report a mistake by email: the contact page says how. Name the page, say what looks wrong and, if you can, link to the maker's page or other source that shows it.
We then read the source again. If the page was wrong, we correct it and list the change here.
